Life and Health Insurance Education has a New Home

Washington, DC (PRWEB) May 21, 2008 -- The Life Foundation, a non-profit organization committed to life and health insurance education, has partnered with Blue Water Media to create a new home for their online insurance education resources and community. The Life Foundation has picked a fresh address, lifehappens.org, to coincide with the launch of their new website. The new website promises improved educational support for insurance agents, consumers, and the media.

The new Life Foundation website offers an improved navigation to their multiple resources on insurance topics that range from Life and Disability insurance to Long-term care and health insurance. Enhanced insurance calculators, instructional videos, and the Insurance Word blog create the most comprehensive life and health insurance education resource on the web.

Blue Water Media developed the Life Foundation website on the popular content management system Joomla!, to ensure the Life Foundation would have little difficulty managing their huge library of insurance articles, instructional videos, true life stories, online shopping, RSS feeds, user community, and staff authors - all in one flexible, open source, content management system.

The new content management system will allow the Life Foundation staff to easily add new pages, sections, forms, and content to the site without any knowledge of HTML or other technical savvy. This new eases and freedom will allow the staff to focus on their primary objective; creating educational content - rather than worrying about how to manage the website.

About Life Foundation:

The Life and Health Insurance Foundation for Education (LIFE) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping consumers make smart insurance decisions to safeguard their families' financial futures. The main topics we address in our educational efforts are life, disability, long-term care and health insurance. Our goal is to help consumers better understand these products and where they fit within their overall financial plans. LIFE also seeks to remind people of the important role insurance professionals perform in helping families, businesses, and individuals find the insurance products that best fit their needs. LIFE does not endorse any product, company or insurance advisor. Our only interest is seeing that consumers get the coverage they need to protect themselves and their loved ones.
